When I park my Nissan, I sometimes wonder if the anti-theft system actually works. It's that little red blinking light on the dashboard and the beep when I lock the doors. My neighbor had his stereo stolen from his old car, so I'm glad mine has an immobilizer that stops the engine from starting without the key. I know it's not foolproof, but it gives me some peace of mind in crowded parking lots.
