Installing gutter guards this weekend was a lot easier than I expected. After dealing with clogged downspouts every fall, I finally picked up some mesh guards at the hardware store. They snap right under the first row of shingles and cover the gutters completely. Now leaves and pine needles just slide right off instead of building up. It took a couple hours for the whole house, but should save me from climbing a ladder to clean them out every few weeks.
